My Life Journey
AUM Namah Shivaya- ॐ नमः शिवाय
With profound humility and reverence, I bow before Aadi Anant Shiva Mahadeva (Supreme Shiva, the Supreme consciousness), and Maa Adi Shakti, the divine Mother, who have illuminated my path with their divine grace and guidance.
Who AM I?
मनोबुद्ध्यहङ्कार चित्तानि नाहं,
न च श्रोत्रजिह्वे न च घ्राणनेत्रे।
न च व्योम भूमिर्न तेजो न वायुः,
चिदानन्दरूपः शिवोऽहम् शिवोऽहम् ॥१॥
Neither am I the mind nor intelligence or ego,
Neither am I the organs of hearing (ears), nor that of tasting (tongue), smelling (nose) or seeing (eyes),
Neither am I the sky, nor the earth, neither the fire nor the air,
I am Shiva, the supreme auspiciousness of the nature of consciousness-bliss.
I am (Shiva) the auspiciousness.
In the grand tapestry of the cosmic divine drama, I have assumed countless roles throughout numerous lifetimes. In my present birth, I am an Indian with cultural roots in Punjab, the land of five rivers. In my previous birth, maybe I was an American, or Japanese, Chinese, or native of any other nation. Who am I? I am not confined to the limitations of this physical body, nor am I solely defined by the workings of the mind. The conditioning of society has led us to identify with our physical forms, nationalities, religions, and castes. However, the ultimate truth reveals that we all originate from a singular source, unified by the essence of the same consciousness.
Join me on a transformative journey, where ancient YOG unfolds its transformative magic, illuminating the path to inner harmony and holistic growth.
I have embarked on a multifaceted journey, embracing diverse roles throughout my life. I have been a devoted family person, an entrepreneur, and a passionate social activist. I embrace the roles of a wife and a mother, nurturing and cherishing my family. However, there is a deeper aspect of my being that transcends all the roles that I’ve played in my life. I feel a profound soul connection with the world around me, an unbreakable thread that weaves through every living being. As I navigate the complexities of this human experience, I strive to embrace the beauty of both my earthly responsibilities and my spiritual aspirations. I seek harmony in balancing my roles as a wife, a mother, and a seeker of truth. For it is in this delicate balance that I find the true essence of my being and the fulfilment of my soul’s purpose. Each role has allowed me to navigate different realms of existence, contributing to my personal growth. In my career pursuits, I achieved a fair degree of success, yet deep within, a sense of profound unhappiness permeated my being. Despite my worldly accomplishments, I felt a gnawing pain, an undeniable realization that the life I was living did not align with my authentic self.
From a young age, I embarked on a profound quest for GOD, driven by an innate longing within my soul. However, the blossoming of this divine connection was hindered by the allure of worldly distractions and non-conducive environment. Nonetheless, my spiritual odyssey commenced at Banaras, the oldest living city in the world, when I was merely three years old, laying the foundation for a lifelong journey of self-discovery. Ever since that profound encounter, my devotion to the Supreme Shiva has burned fervently within me. However, it is through the passage of time and the myriad experiences of life that my relationship with Shiva has blossomed into an everlasting bond—a timeless romance with the Lord.
In this profound journey I have traversed, I have come to discern the existence of four distinct stages. The first stage encapsulated a period driven by material pursuits, where ambition and career held sway. Following that, I transitioned into the second stage, characterized by a deep exploration of religious practices and beliefs. Subsequently, the third stage beckoned, wherein my focus expanded to encompass social activism and the pursuit of positive change in the world. Finally, I arrived at the fourth & final stage of my life’s journey—the stage of the YOGi—marked by surrender to the divine Supreme Shiva.
These stages, rather than existing in isolation, are intricately interwoven, each contributing to the next in an ever-evolving symphony of growth. Like the graceful unfurling of a lotus flower, each stage is a vital component of the whole, gradually revealing the profound beauty and wisdom that resides within.
With hindsight as my guide, I now perceive the significance of experiences that once seemed perplexing or inconsequential. They were not haphazard occurrences but essential prerequisites for the subsequent stages of my journey. Each experience, no matter how enigmatic it may have appeared at the time, played a crucial role in shaping my understanding and preparing me for what was to come.
As I reflect upon the intricate tapestry of my journey, I recognize the interconnectedness and purpose behind each stage. The material pursuits fortified my resilience and ambition, laying the groundwork for the subsequent exploration of spirituality. The religious stage provided me with a framework to nurture my connection with the divine, paving the way for a broader sense of purpose and service to humanity in the social activism stage. Ultimately, all these stages converged harmoniously, culminating in the transformative surrender to the divine as a YOGi devoted to Supreme Shiva.
In this retrospective contemplation, I find solace in the understanding that every experience, no matter how bewildering it may have initially seemed, served a profound purpose in shaping and guiding me along my path. As I embrace the lessons learned and the growth attained, I continue to unfold, just like the lotus flower revealing its innate splendour.
So, who am I? I am an eternal soul, connected to the infinite Shiva consciousness that flows through all creation. I am a unique expression of divinity, intertwined with the entirety of existence. Beyond the illusions of separation, I am a radiant spark of the same universal light that illuminates us all.
Throughout the ages, humankind has embarked on an enduring quest to unravel the mysteries of GOD. Within the depths of my being, I have harboured an unwavering longing to truly comprehend the nature of the divine. Born into a Hindu family, I have been fortunate to inherit a rich tapestry of teachings and practices that offer profound tools to explore the realms of faith and GOD.
Hinduism, unlike any other religion, embraces a spirit of inquiry and self-discovery. It invites individuals to question, to seek, and to embark on a personal journey of understanding. It is a path that not only illuminates the nature of GOD but also provides a roadmap to attaining union with the divine, should one possess the resolute determination to tread that path.
Within the vast expanse of Hindu philosophy and spirituality, there lies an abundance of ancient wisdom waiting to be explored. It encompasses diverse pathways, from the devotion of Bhakti YOG to the knowledge of Jnana YOG, from the practice of Karma YOG to the discipline of Raja YOG. Each avenue offers a unique approach to unlocking the realms of the divine, empowering individuals to deepen their understanding and forge a profound connection with GOD.
In the realm of Hinduism, the quest to know and reach GOD is not confined to the boundaries of blind faith. It is a quest that invites introspection, contemplation, and personal revelation. It recognizes the individual’s role as an active participant in their spiritual journey, fostering a deep sense of ownership and personal growth along the path to divine realization.
Thus, within the embrace of Hinduism, I have discovered a sacred space where my deepest desire to know GOD can be nurtured. It is a religion that celebrates the diversity of human experience, offering a multitude of paths and practices to facilitate a profound connection with the divine.
In my relentless pursuit to know GOD, a profound realization dawned upon me—I am an eternal devotee of Shiva, not solely in this current life but across numerous lifetimes. This unwavering truth is my ultimate reality, surpassing the illusions of my name, my religion, my profession, and even my nationality. Throughout countless cycles of existence, I have wandered ceaselessly, propelled by an innate longing to reunite with the divine presence of Shiva.
